Sber will digitize the collections of the Pushkin Museum

Sber will digitize works from the collections of the Pushkin Museum. The director of Sberbank, German Gref, and the director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Elizaveta Likhacheva, signed an agreement in this regard.

“We hope that the art, wonderful collections and the ability of Pushkin Museum specialists to bring together the most unique exhibitions will be available to the maximum number of people in our country,” said German Gref.

The bank and the museum plan to create a digital copy of the Pushkin Museum, as well as implement excursions in augmented reality mode.

“For us, as for any modern museum, one of the key tasks is to find a language of communication with a new and young audience. […] Digital and AI open completely new horizons for the museum community,” said Elizaveta Likhacheva, director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

In addition, as part of the agreement, measures are planned to popularize the use of digital technologies in the work of a cultural institution, the press service of Sberbank reported.
