WhatsApp is preparing an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered support channel. The tool, discovered in the “Contact Us” tab, is currently being tested in the Beta version of the messaging application for iOS.

As shown in the print published on the website this Tuesday (06) WABetaInfoThe feature description now includes the possibility of support generated by Meta’s AI.

Meta makes the tool even more efficient with the addition of artificial intelligence to WhatsApp support. Users can now have their questions answered through a bot, even if no human attendant is present.

Although the chances of contact are increased, the bot’s responses are not guaranteed to be reliable. Tools powered by generative AI can present errors called “hallucinations.”

In all cases, users can choose to be answered by humans only; This may increase support wait times.

In development on Android and iOS

The functionality was found in version 24.3.10.70 of WhatsApp Beta for iOS, which is now available to testers registered with the TestFlight program. The same feature is in the pipeline on Android, but has been found in version 2.23.23.8 of the experimental messaging app.
