More than a quarter of Muscovites (27%) would like to open their own business, and one in ten (10%) already have one, a joint survey by SberInsurance and Business Environment showed.
The greatest desire to start a business is observed among young people between 18 and 30 years old (38%), the least interested are people over 60 years old (16%).
The survey showed that among the most common reasons for starting a business are: the desire to earn more (30%), having an idea for a startup (19%) and reluctance to work “for someone else” (17%) .
In addition, most often difficulties in starting a business arise due to family circumstances (18%) or lack of ideas (14%). A less popular answer is that there is no money to run your own business (10%).
The survey was conducted in 37 Russian cities with a population of more than 500 thousand people.
