Now the user finds himself in a vicious circle: if the password is forgotten, to reset it you need to go to the Settings application, which cannot be opened without entering the password, so to reset the password the device can be taken to the Apple Store or service.

However, in the code of the current beta version of VisionOS 1.1, there is mention of a system notification that appears after a series of password entry attempts. Using this notification, the user will be able to reset his password without going to experts. But then you will have to reset all settings to factory settings – the headset will have to be configured from scratch – no data will remain on the device.

“Apple Vision Pro has been locked by security. “You can wait and re-enter your password, or you can immediately erase and reset your Apple Vision Pro,” should be the text of the notification.
