Former Apple engineer Xiaolan Zhang was sentenced in the United States to 120 days in prison, 3 years of post-release supervision and a fine of $146,984.
In 2018, Zhang stole secret Apple documents related to the development of a self-driving car and gave them to Chinese startup XMotors. Among the documentation was a 25-page file with engineering diagrams of the printed circuit board for the self-driving car.
Zhang initially pleaded not guilty, but pleaded guilty in August 2022 after being presented with all the evidence.
