The government will launch the “Start an Online Business” service on March 1. As part of one service, entrepreneurs will be able to register a company, receive an electronic signature without a personal visit to the Federal Tax Service and open a bank account.
As reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers, the decision should simplify the procedure for creating individual organizations and companies. A single biometric system will be used at all stages to confirm the identity of the applicant.
“Thanks to biometrics, all necessary procedures can be carried out completely remotely. This is a completely new level of comfort in receiving commercial and government services,” says Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, whose words are quoted in the message.
The service is being implemented in experimental mode: its operation will begin on March 1, 2024 and will last until March 1, 2025. The experiment is carried out with the participation of the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring and the JSC Center for Biometric Technologies. The coordinator of the experiment is the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
