Yandex will introduce its new consumer electronics brands to foreign markets, TASS reports citing the company.
The development of new device brands will be coordinated by Sergey Melnik, who has worked at Yandex for more than 15 years in management positions in various areas.
Melnik will explore new markets for smart devices, develop a line of consumer equipment taking into account the characteristics of the markets and, in partnership with local players, build and develop strong brands in the mass segment.
Currently, the Yandex line of smart devices is represented by smart speakers with Alice, TV stations and smart home devices, including a hub, light bulbs, sensors and sockets.
Since spring 2022, the Yandex Market has been developing the Commo brand, under which chargers and cables for them, phone cases and batteries are produced. The day before, the company announced a line of full-size wireless headphones.
