Advertising on Telegram increased in price by 35% due to high demand

Marketing agencies have reported an increase in the cost of advertising on Telegram. In September-October 2023, its price rose by 35% compared to the same period in 2022, RBC writes citing agency data.

The Starlink agency spoke about increasing the price of advertising posts on Telegram by 35%, citing reports on blogging companies. The Igronik media holding estimated the increase in advertising costs between 15 and 30%.

The founder of the Digital Church advertising agency, Mark Khludnev, believes that the main reason for the increase in advertising prices is general inflation and increased demand for the same amount of available advertising space.

Experts also point to mandatory labeling of online advertising as a factor in price increases. Advertising agencies, clients and distributors are obliged to inform Roskomnadzor through the advertising data operator. Because of this, advertising prices for bloggers have increased by 2% to 5%, according to experts.
