Deputy Head of the FAS Petr Ivanov said that the Federal Antimonopoly Service is forming serious claims against Yandex Taxi.
The FAS received complaints about the service from passengers and taxi drivers. Last year there were more than 300 of them.
The pricing algorithm for taxi services, which results in dynamic pricing, is not fully disclosed by the company. We are currently continuing to analyze the pricing practices of taxi aggregators, for which the services have serious criticism of Yandex Taxi.
In particular, accordingly, the blocking of drivers and passengers in the Yandex GO service was sent by the FAS in a letter to the company stating that possible violations and proportionate measures of responsibility should be correctly clarified in Yandex documents. However, the FAS requirements for establishing a standard list, based on blocking and proportionality of blocking, have not yet been fully met.
We also determined that the commission (commission and other fees) charged to carriers (about 28%) should be reduced to a competitive level, as it is too high today. To date, the aggregator has also not complied with the requirements of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.
