It looks like EA is preparing at least two versions of the game: for PC and mobile devices. Those lucky enough to get the prototype up and running say it looks promising.
The leaked version includes a character editor, a crafting mode, and even a few preset locations. The graphics, of course, are far from final, but it is already clear that they will be much better than in The Sims 4.
Interestingly, the PC version of the game will apparently be protected by the Denuvo anti-piracy system. This may upset some fans, but EA probably wants to protect itself from piracy.
There is no official information yet about the release date of The Sims 5. However, the leak of an early version of the game suggests that the release may be very soon.
