Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones turn into “bricks” after installing HyperOS. There are corresponding complaints from users in Xiaomi groups, on the 4PDA and Reddit forums.

Yesterday, Xiaomi started sending out the HyperOS update to some smartphones. After installing the update, the smartphone may not turn off and go into a bootlap (cyclic reboot). That is, it will constantly reboot and not show the system interface. It is impossible to use a smartphone in this mode.

During reboot, Recovery mode is shown. Rebooting from recovery and switching to Safe Mode does not help.

If you are facing this problem, the only way to solve it at the moment is to completely reset your smartphone. All data, including photos, videos, settings and applications, will be deleted.

1. In recovery mode (Main menu), select Clear data. Use the power button to move between menu items and the lock button to confirm.

If you haven’t upgraded to HyperOS yet, don’t do it yet. Necessarily disable auto-update in your smartphone’s power supply.

Xiaomi is aware of the problem, but the company has not yet published any working solutions.

Xiaomi users with global firmware have problems with the bootlap. Obviously, the problem is of a software nature and has nothing to do with the hardware of smartphones. Most likely, Xiaomi will soon release an updated version of HyperOS, which will be stored normally.

But, probably, if the smartphone has already entered a cyclic reboot, then nothing will help it except a complete reset of settings and data.
