Xiaomi smartphone owners reported device malfunctions

Xiaomi smartphones experienced a malfunction that occurred after updating the operating system. Many device owners reported this on social media.

According to users, smartphones reboot themselves or go into system recovery mode after updating HyperOS and MIUI 14. Most of the complaints come from users who have automatic updates enabled.

In the official Xiaomi group on the VKontakte social network, a representative of the brand said that work is already underway to solve the problem.

“If you urgently need to restore your smartphone, you can reset settings with full data loss,” Xiaomi says in a message.

Xiaomi introduced the new HyperOS operating system in October 2023 and in December the company showed off the logo of the operating system.
