TCL 55C755 and Sony 55X90L have 4K resolution, support 120 Hz VRR and are equipped with Google TV. At the same time, TCL is assembled in China, while Sony is assembled in Slovakia or Malaysia. Overall Sony is better in terms of materials and build quality. By the way, this TV is made of metal, while the TCL’s are made of plastic.
In terms of connectors, everything is approximately the same for both models. Sony’s remote control is also made from higher quality materials. This TV also turns out to be better in terms of speed (about 1.5-2 times) and hardware.
In dark scenes, the TCL 55C755 performed quite well, but the Sony 55X90L was still much better.
In terms of the SDR signal and Full HD resolution, the Sony had better detail in small moments. It was also felt that Sony’s focus was on the face, while TCL’s focus was slightly distorted (see example in the image above). The second point is that light and dark areas are displayed incorrectly on the TCL 55C755 compared to the Sony 55X90L.
Additionally, the Sony’s image sharpness remains slightly better when in motion than the TCL’s.
TCL 55C755 is a really good television. With a price of 80 thousand rubles, it has few competitors. However, if you want to get a realistic image, get the Sony 55X90L. And we fully overpay for better details.
