Apple lost 24% of its value, rising from first place to fourth place along with vivo; Sales of vivo devices fell 15% and the company ranked seventh.

The Chinese smartphone market fell 7% year-on-year, as Apple shares like Oppo halved.

According to Counterpoint Research senior analyst Mengmeng Zhang, the reason for the decline in Apple’s sales lies in two factors: the flagship iPhone 15, for which the market expected a lot, turned out to be slightly different from previous models, and Apple is rapidly losing serious competition in the top segment. And this does not justify the high price of these devices.

Therefore, during the Chinese New Year, Apple offered huge discounts to the Chinese buyer, and this was also reflected in the financial performance.
