The leaders in global flower exports in 2023 were the Netherlands, Colombia and Ecuador. Its total sales reached 6.6 billion dollars, of which 4.6 came from Holland, which exported 552 thousand tons of flowers to other countries.

Colombia sold 143,000 tons worth $1.1 billion and Ecuador sold 181,000 tons worth $987 million, according to UN Comtrade, whose study RIA Novosti cites.
In fourth place, after the first three, is Kenya (64,000 tons and 387 million dollars), and in fifth place is Nigeria (97,000 tons and 157 million dollars).
Also in the top ten are Italy, China, Canada, Malaysia and South Africa. The largest increase (four times) was shown by Nigeria, which entered the top five, while Colombia significantly reduced the offer (by 49%).
Estonia (86 times more!), Namibia, Tunisia, Trinidad and Tobago and Ireland also demonstrated an increase in flower exports in 2023.
Russia sold flowers that are insignificant compared to the figures of the leaders (40 thousand dollars), and mainly to Armenia.
