The leak revealed that Samsung was initially planning to equip the Galaxy S24 with MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000 chipset. However, this plan fell through due to lack of materials. MediaTek reportedly produced only 10 million units; This is much less than Samsung’s 30-35 million requirement for its flagship series.

It has four high-performance Cortex-X4 cores clocked up to 3.25GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores, but lacks low-power cores. Unfortunately, we’ll never see this configuration on Galaxy phones, as MediaTek has chosen to supply Dimensity 9000 to Chinese manufacturers like vivo for their X100 Pro.

Additionally, Qualcomm is Samsung’s main partner. This close collaboration eliminates the possibility of MediaTek disrupting this established flow.
