Samsung, Xiaomi, Acer and Honor have resumed advertising activity in Russia after freezing it in the spring of 2022, Kommersant writes.
Brand marketing budgets in 2023 are in line with, and in some cases even below, 2021 levels. They place advertising not directly, but through third parties: marketplaces, retailers and distributors. Foreign companies transfer advertising budgets to them and have the right to manage the promotion strategy.
This resulted in the number of brand mentions in 2023 being 65–100% of what it was in 2021.
Samsung competes with a large number of Android manufacturers and does not have the same audience as Apple, so it is forced to maintain targeted marketing activities and maintain customer loyalty.
