The authorities expanded the program of preferential loans at 3% per year to small technology companies (MTK), doubling the loan amount to 1 billion rubles. This is stated in the message from the Ministry of Economic Development.

The preferential loan program for innovative and high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was launched in April 2022 as part of the federal project “Takeoff: from startup to IPO”. The program allows high-tech SMEs to receive a loan at 3% per year in the amount of up to 500 million rubles.
It has now been expanded to small technology companies, increasing the loan amount to one billion rubles.
“The expansion of support measures for small technological companies meets the objective of ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country and the path towards import substitution <…>. For small businesses manufacturing high-tech products, preferential loans from the state in the amount of up to one billion rubles will allow them to more actively implement projects and reach a new level of development and production,” the head of the Ministry of Economy said. - MTCs that meet the conditions of the program can submit an application through the SME.RF digital platform. The application review period will be up to 1.5 months. Loans are provided by Banco PYME.
- Currently 1700 companies have MTK status.
