Cards of the Russian payment system “Mir” will stop working in ATMs and POS terminals of most Armenian banks, a representative of VTB Armenia told the publication.

The operator of the Mir payment system is the National Payment Card System. In February, the United States imposed sanctions on the NSPK.

After this, the Kazakh bank Freedom Finance stopped carrying out transactions with cards of the Mir payment system. The Kazakh subsidiary of Sberbank has stopped working with Mir cards. Acceptance of non-cash payments at bank terminals has not been available since March 17.
