The majority of respondents (39%) do not unplug their devices. But 37% prefer to do this only before a long trip, while 19% prefer to do it every time they leave the house. There are also those (5%) who turn off all their devices before going to bed.

The most frequently disconnected devices were smartphone (19%) and laptop (16%) chargers. Russians are also unplugging TVs (15%), kettles (13%), microwave ovens (11%) and other appliances.

According to survey respondents, the main reason for shutting down is to prevent short circuits (77%), while saving energy is only 12%. Some (7%) do this out of habit, and only 1% are afraid of background radiation.

Although the majority (67%) do not see the need to shut down to save energy, 21% are ready to do so and 12% are already doing so. At the same time, half of the participants (50%) are interested in using smart plugs.
