Researcher Dr. from Surrey Institute of Advanced Technology. Jin Zhang said the panels can collect sunlight from both sides, allowing them to produce more power and be less dependent on the angle of the light.

The panels can produce more than 36 mW per square centimeter, and the rear panel produces almost 97% of the energy of the front panel. This is 75-95% for most double-sided panels available on the market.
