The Ministry of Finance has drawn up a draft resolution to postpone the introduction of mandatory jewelry labeling. The document was published on the legal acts portal.

According to initial plans, the labeling process was to begin on September 1, 2024. Now the start date of marking has been postponed to September 1, 2025.

The document also states that the postponement will reduce the administrative burden for market participants and the Assay Chamber authorities, which deals with marking.

The initiative to postpone the start of jewelry marking was presented by the national pawnshop association.
