Russian video game publisher and developer Astrum Entertainment has named a new CEO of the company: former head of Electronic Arts Russia, Tony Watkins. This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of Astrum.

Watkins will focus on active business development by expanding the game portfolio, investing in various products and concluding new partnerships in Russia and abroad.

Tony Watkins has over 35 years of strategic business development experience across various industries, including 25 years in the Russian market. Previously, he held leadership positions at Kaspersky, ESLFaceIT Group, Lavazza Coffee, Dirol Cadbury and others. For more than 14 years he headed Electronic Arts Russia.

“The main goal of our team is to make Astrum Ent the number one company in the Russian game development industry. Having worked in the Russian market for more than 25 years, I consider it extremely promising. The enormous development potential has not yet been exhausted and I am confident that this ambition can be achieved together with the Astrum Ent team,” said Watkins, quoted in the press release.

Astrum Entertainment’s portfolio includes games such as Atomic Heart, Warface, Perfect World, Lost Ark, Battle Teams 2 and others. The average MAU of the company’s products is more than 1 million players, the total number of registrations exceeds 110 million users.
