Yandex has trained the YandexGPT neural network to understand the Kazakh language. The language model will appear on the market in 2024 and will be able to write and process texts in Kazakh, remember the course of a conversation and answer clarifying questions, according to the company.

The neural network will be available to users through a virtual assistant in the Yandex application, as well as in Search and Yandex Browser in Kazakhstan.
It is also planned to launch a commercial version of YandexGPT in Kazakh for companies on the Yandex Cloud platform.
The experts took the basic YandexGPT model as a basis. For further training, “hundreds of thousands” of queries and answers in the Kazakh language, covering different topics and conversation contexts, were prepared in the first stage.
AI trainers from Yandex Kazakhstan participate in the training of the neural network.
In Kazakhstan, Yandex has already launched search, urban, cloud and entertainment services, and the company is also developing educational and social projects.
Previously, Yandex trained the voice assistant “Alice” to understand and speak Kazakh.
