The rebranding was based on the concept “Oh! Moments”, which was first presented in the brand’s advertising campaign in the fall, is a collective image of the positive emotions that people experience after a long-awaited vacation and planning a trip.
“’Oh! Moments’ became a key element of the new identity, reflecting optimism and joy of discovery. The main role is played by the letter “O”, which expresses a wide range of positive feelings, such as joy, delight and surprise,” the company said in a statement.
The letter “O” was chosen as the brand’s main visual and verbal communication technique.
The updates also affected the brand logo: now the service uses a short and concise name – “Ostrovok” (instead of the name Ostrovok.ru). An exclamation point was added to the logo, which “reflects delight, inspiration and adds dynamics to the font logo,” the company said.
The brand’s new logo is a logo truncated to the first letter “O” and an exclamation point.
The brand’s color palette has been expanded with green, which symbolizes nature, freshness and optimism. At the same time, the brand maintained continuity and connection with the original image, leaving an additional blue color in the palette: it identifies the sea and the sky.
The creative agency The Clients participated in the development of the new brand. The Ostrovka website and mobile application have already been updated.
- Ostrovok, according to its own data, offers its clients more than 2.5 million options in hotels, hostels, apartments, apartments from direct suppliers and partners. The site’s monthly traffic exceeds 20 million. The number of mobile application installations exceeds 6.6 million. The service was founded in 2010.
