OpenAI has released the first music video produced by Sora, a fully generative video artificial intelligence (AI) platform. The work was produced based on the directions of August Kamp.
The video lasts just over two minutes and was probably based on several requests from the artist. OpenAI did not disclose technical details of the design, but The Sora platform can currently only create segments of a maximum of 60 seconds.
See below an experimental video for a visual cover of a song called. world lightweight:
“I feel like this piece of art is my absolute heart and soul. I remember how I felt almost two years ago when the notes fell from my hands onto the keys of my synthesizer. I remember it was raining outside and I felt lucky to be able to put those feelings into a song,” explains the activist and songwriter.
The Worldweight clip, which shows abstract scenes under the rain and blends forests with technological equipment, really looks like the fruit of someone’s dreams.
According to the artist’s description “He closed his eyes and saw images in his mind.” Translated accurately and creatively by Sora in the artificially generated clip. The camp was full of praise for the platform; according to that, was able to visually translate a song and expand its dissemination in another sense.
Sora will be released in 2024
OpenAI has not yet fully confirmed when Sora AI will be commercially available or integrated for users of other platforms such as ChatGPT. However, the prediction is that the device will be released in 2024.
The company is actively working on the service not only to improve it, but also to ensure the security of the platform to prevent it from being used to create illegal content or spread false information.
The company also introduced Sora to major Hollywood studios to suggest partial adoption of the service in productions. It also selected artists from many different fields to propose and test changes to the platform.
