OpenAI has allowed users of the DALL-E 3 image generator to edit the resulting images. The feature is available in both the web version and the ChatGPT mobile app.

Users have two editing options available. In the first one, you need to select the area of the image you want to change and then describe in the chat interface what should be done with the image. In the second, you can immediately make a request to the neural network without selecting any part. This is convenient for changing the entire image.
The company notes that the editor allows you to increase the accuracy or realism of individual image elements, remove them or add new ones.
OpenAI announced the third version of its DALL-E generative neural network in September 2023. The new generation of the service has a built-in ChatGPT-4 language model, which is responsible for creating detailed messages.
On April 1, 2024, the company opened access to ChatGPT to all users without registration. It is currently used weekly by more than 100 million people in 185 countries.
