Specialists at the Center for Monitoring and Management of Public Communications Networks repelled 512 DDos attacks in the first quarter of 2024, while for the whole of last year the number of attacks of this type was 185, Roskomnadzor told Izvestia.

The targets of these attacks are government resources, financial and transportation companies, telecommunications operators, large media outlets, and regional news agencies.
At the same time, experts note that recently these attacks have become less powerful in terms of performance and traffic volume, but are more widespread.
Previously, StormWall analysts recommended that to prevent such incidents, the company should install professional protection against DDoS attacks. Additionally, it is also worth conducting regular IT infrastructure security audits to identify bottlenecks that increase the risk of DDoS attacks.
