Kicksharing service Yurent, part of MTS, decided to start renting portable chargers. Vedomosti learned that the service sees synergy in sharing electric scooters and power banks.

Yurent intends to implement a power bank sharing network of 30 thousand stations throughout Russia. The company is currently looking for a sales director for the Yurent Charges project.
According to Check Index experts, the average bill for renting chargers in 2023 increased by 18% year-on-year to 137 rubles, and the number of purchases increased by 32%. Until 2027, the power bank rental market in Russia could grow up to 25 billion rubles, according to the publication’s interlocutor.
Previously, Yurent presented its own scooter, designed taking into account the Russian road infrastructure. In 2024, 20 thousand scooters of the new model will appear in the fleet of shared scooters in various cities. Now they are already in operation in Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
