The latest data shows that the new Exynos 2500 processor will even surpass Qualcomm’s existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor in terms of energy efficiency.

Let’s remember that the Exynos 2400 chip has proven to be a worthy competitor in the current Galaxy S24 series, and Samsung has widely used it in most markets.

A similar strategy is expected for the Galaxy S25 series; Exynos 2500 will be the heart of the Galaxy S25 and S25+, except for the US and China, where Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be preferred.

The key advantage of the Exynos 2500 is the use of Samsung’s advanced second-generation 3nm process technology.

Unlike TSMC, Samsung currently uses GAA (Gate-All-Around) technology, which provides a significant increase in power efficiency compared to FinFET used in Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

There are rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has some issues with power consumption, but the Exynos 2500 is not guaranteed to be problem-free either.

Previously, Samsung suffered from low efficiency of suitable chips using 3nm process technology, but there is evidence that this figure has increased to 60%.
