Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor unveiled. This is an ARM chip for Windows laptops, which is the answer to Apple Silicon.
Snapdragon X Plus is made using a 4nm process technology and has 10 cores with a frequency of 3.4 GHz. The chip also received integrated Adreno graphics with a capacity of 3.8 teraflops.
The distinctive design of the Snapdragon X Plus is a built-in neural processing unit (NPU) with a performance of 45 trillion operations per second. The company claims it is the world’s fastest laptop NPU.
Snapdragon X Plus also supports LPDDR5x RAM and can simultaneously drive 4K HDR monitors.
The Snapdragon X Plus will cost slightly less than the Snapdragon X Elite, which the company introduced late last year. The first laptops with the new processors will be released in mid-2024. [Gizmochina]
