A very interesting feature has been added. Google Meeting. From now on, you no longer have to hang up or disconnect from a meeting to change devices. The platform has enabled transfer communications from a mobile phone or tablet to a computer and vice versa without interruption.
This simple feature will be very useful for those who have a very busy work schedule or who may face unexpected meetings without their main device at hand. If you commute to work by train or bus, you can start a Google Meet meeting on your phone and, once on your desktop, continue it on your PC or Mac straight from your browser. All without the inconvenience of ending a call or leaving a meeting and then reconnecting.
The new Meet feature will be available to both Workspace users and all personal Google accounts. This means that everyone will be able to benefit from this alternative, which can also be very useful outside of the work environment.
How it works? It’s really simple. By starting a Google Meet meeting from an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, users can then transfer it to their computer without interruption. To do this, they will have to open the call page in a browser or web application, where they will see a button “Continue here”. By tapping on it, communication will continue on the new device without delays or interruptions.
Google Meet now lets you transfer calls between devices without interruption

It is worth noting that if we transfer a call from a mobile phone to a computer, the first one will automatically disconnect. However, it will be possible to maintain an active conversation on both computers. Continuing with this example, we need to log into Google Meet again from our mobile phone, click on the active meeting and select “Other options to join”. Once there, you will need to click on “Join here too”.
This feature has been available since yesterday on Google Meet, although it will gradually roll out to all users of personal and Workspace accounts. So you may have to wait a few weeks before it becomes available.
Lately, Google has decided to give Meet an arsenal of new features. Among the latest is the addition of artificial intelligence-based tools that allow you to take notes or translate meeting content. Although yes, these are paid functions and not too cheap. Google will charge you a fee $10 per user per month to access Gemini-based tools.
Previously, Google Meet added beauty filters and a tool for creating automatic transcriptions to the web version. We must also not forget that the platform teamed up with Duobecoming the California-based firm’s one-stop meeting and video calling app.
So the Californians tried Keep Google Meet up to date. Especially after the downturn that meeting and video calling platforms have experienced since the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, Mountain View’s competitors are no longer Zoom or Microsoft Teams, as other software such as Slack also allows for this type of communication without dependence on external services.
