Russian operators block an average of 300 thousand phone numbers every week using Roskomnazdor devices as part of the fight against the gray SIM card market.

Most blocks occur due to incorrectly specified data, which can be updated and the number restored.

Operators warn subscribers 15 days in advance that they need to update their data, but not everyone does this. After the connection is blocked, many people enter the salons and regulate access to the numbers.

Until September 2023, the Roskomnadzor weekly sent the indicated numbers, which must be verified, and if the data is not confirmed, blocked. Now the department immediately sends the unit’s earpiece.
