A startup called DoubleYou has been launched in the United States, which should help antivirus developers better virus iPhone and Mac.
DoubleYou is contributed by Patrick Wardle and Mikhail Sosonkin. Wardle worked for the US National Security Agency from 2006 to 2008 before becoming an independent security researcher specializing in macOS. Sosonkin worked in Apple security from 2019 to 2021.
They are both friends and believe that they own extensive forms of Apple platforms. They decided to launch a startup after realizing that there were few good security products for macOS and iOS. At the same time, both systems are increasingly subject to hacker attacks.
DoubleYou’s idea is to develop new methods for analyzing viruses, which can then be licensed to other companies. DoubleYou is currently developing methods to detect any untrusted code in macOS, as well as “Children” and blocking anomalies in DNS traffic. [TechCrunch]
