As the FAS notes, in an advertisement broadcast on federal television channels, Alfa-Bank was named the best mobile bank. However, the information that the rating was given according to the Markswebb rating was stated in a way that was difficult to understand. The information itself was displayed for a short time.
“The FAS recognized that the advertisement was inappropriate and ordered the bank to stop violating advertising legislation,” the service said in a statement.
In early April, the FAS opened a case against Alfa-Bank due to difficult-to-read footnotes in an advertisement for the bank’s loyalty program.
On April 16, the service opened a file for advertising mortgage conditions on the radio.
