Android mobile phone users can now download two applications at the same time from the Play Store. While the Google app store has received many improvements in recent years, this feature has only now been actually implemented as the functionality has been tested since 2019.
One of the most notable improvements to the Play Store recently was the ability to update apps without having to download the entire program. This allows for faster updates with less impact on the performance of devices, especially entry-level devices.
Download up to two apps from Play Store
It might not seem like much, but being able to download two apps at the same time is very helpful when we need to install multiple apps and one of them is too heavy. This way, we can continue downloading heavier applications while downloading lighter programs. This possibility can help you save a lot of time.
Another possibility is to download two heavy games at the same time. In this case, it’s good to have an internet plan with decent speed so that you don’t overload the network and downloads don’t take longer than if they were done one by one.
In our testing, we were able to prove that the Play Store now allows you to download up to two apps simultaneously from version 40.6.31, even if you are running Android 13 on a Samsung device. However, we also soon saw that the store received an update to version 40.7.29.
If more than two downloads are initiated, all downloads after the third will remain pending until one of the first two is completed.
Can be improved…
It’s worth remembering that early leaks about the feature mentioned that it was possible to download up to five simultaneously. Although this is far from current reality, we cannot rule out the possibility that Google will change the functionality at some point.
Another important point is that the feature is limited to downloads only and does not include updates. Therefore, during updates, the existing scheme of downloading only components of one application at a time continues to be applied.
