Remote Industries is a legal entity that develops two projects: the proptech startup Butler, an apartment building management service, and park-in.me, a paid automated parking operator.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, on April 23, Evgeniy Kopyrkin became a member of Remote Industries LLC and received 25% of the structure. The remaining shares as of 05/03/2024 are distributed as follows: 27.45% belongs to the general director of the company, co-founder of Citydrive Boris Golikov, another 21.25% belongs to the actress and former Duma deputy state Maria Kozhevnikova, who invested 50 million in Butler in 2022 rubles. Additionally, 13.8% and 12.5% belong to Andrey Kuprikov and Veronika Dvorkina, respectively.
In response to a request from RB.RU about a new participant, Remote Industries reported that the company had closed a financing round worth 80 million rubles. The company did not disclose other details.
According to Ivan Fedyakov, general director of the INFOLine news agency, 80 million rubles is a very small amount in terms of investment in projects, usually the shareholders themselves invest much more money in their own business.
“As I understand it, this is simply a replenishment of working capital,” Fedyakov said.
The founder of the Academy of Business and Strategic Marketing, Yulia Korchagina-Ozcan, believes that the funding raised can be divided equally between both projects. However, the expert believes that Butler will most likely be the priority for businessmen.
“There were also plans to introduce artificial intelligence into the app and further monetization,” Korchagina-Ozcan noted.
At the end of 2023, Remote Industries LLC’s revenue amounted to almost 2.5 million rubles, up from 1.7 million rubles in 2023. At the same time, the company recorded a net loss of 29.6 million rubles, compared to a loss of 23 million rubles the previous year.
