The French company ShopSystem published a photo of a mold for making cases for the iPhone 16.
According to them, the MagSafe magnetic pad in the new iPhones will be slightly smaller due to the reduction in the thickness of the surface of the iPhone 15. The company’s report says that accessory manufacturers can likely adapt their products to the new system.
MacRumors believes that the new solutions will be a backwards support for the old magnets.
Previously, there were rumors online that Apple increased the wireless charging power of the iPhone 16 from 15 to 20 W. Perhaps due to more precise centering of the magnets.
