The operator of the electronic document management system SKB Kontur acquired the Russian company Docrobot, the press service of SKB Kontur reported. The companies have been preparing the agreement for several years.

From the Unified State Register of Legal Entities it appears that SKB Kontur has owned 100% of E-Com LLC since May 6. The structure is the legal entity of electronic document management and electronic data interchange (EDI) provider Docrobot.

“The acquisition of Docrobot by SKB Kontur is an important development in the EDI market. “The merger of two IT companies will allow us to create innovative solutions for various industries while maintaining a key focus on their reliability,” the company said in a statement.

According to a Kommersant source, the transaction amount was 1.5 billion rubles. The parties themselves did not indicate the amount.

Docrobot has offices not only in Russia, but also in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. However, the scope of the transaction included only Russian assets.

As SKB Kontur explained, in the future the company will transfer all Docrobot clients to Kontur solutions. But the transition will not occur immediately, but will be gradual.

SKB Kontur development director Ilya Bublik explained that all employees of the Docrobot development department will keep their jobs. And the company spends about two years on the migration.

At the end of last year, SKB Kontur bought a stake in the analytics service on the Moneyplace markets.
