OpenAI published a document last Wednesday (08) highlighting some desired models and discussions for ChatGPT. Among the details, the text mentions: Possibility of an AI tool one day allowing the creation and interaction with adult content.
“We are investigating whether we can responsibly provide the ability to create NSFW content [Não seguro para o trabalho] in appropriate contexts for [determinadas] ChatGPT ages via API. We look forward to better understanding user and community expectations regarding the model’s behavior in this area,” says a quote.
The OpenAI document, cited as an outline of possible new guidelines, gives examples of what adult content might look like. Right now, If a user asks ChatGPT to write a story about two people having sex, the AI responds, “I can’t help.”.
If changes are made, the virtual assistant will be able to create an erotic story, for example, depicting sexual tension between characters.
In another example, for scientific contexts, ChatGPT will be able to explain the interaction between reproductive organs in a subtle and educational way.
ChatGPT will not accept deepfakes
In an interview with NPRJoanne Jang, director of the United States news agency OpenAI, explained that the themes suggested in the letter are still being discussed.
He pointed out that adult content and eroticism are complex issues and there are fine lines between them. Regarding the concept of pornography, he said “it depends on the definition”.
“[Há] creative situations where content containing sexuality or nudity is important to our users,” he stated. However, this will only be available based on the person’s age group, he added.
On the other hand, he assured that: OpenAI has already decided that it will not accept deepfake content that has recently victimized famous and anonymous people..
“We want to ensure that people have maximum control as long as it does not violate the law or other people’s rights, but allowing deepfakes is out of the question,” he shouted.
