Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin explained to journalists the procedure for discussing the new composition of the government proposed on May 11 by Mikhail Mishustin and invited representatives of domestic companies (to through associations and specialized associations) to participate in the consideration of candidates for the positions of heads of ministry.

“We invite the leaders of trade unions, the heads of federal public organizations, as well as representatives of the business community to discuss the candidates,” this statement was heard in the “Russia 24” broadcast.
At the first meeting, which began on May 12 at 12:00, the candidates will present their programs and opinions on the measures they will take to resolve “problematic issues.” The discussion is expected to last at least until 6:00 p.m.
This is the first stage: the approval of candidates in the relevant committees. Final approval will take place in plenary sessions of the lower house of parliament on May 13 and 14.
This new procedure for the approval of candidates for prime minister, deputy prime ministers and ministers by the State Duma (with the exception of the heads of law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice) was established by amendments to the Constitution of 2020. .
