Apple said it stopped $7 billion in fraudulent transactions on the App Store from 2020 to 2023.
The company blocked 14 million stolen credit cards and prohibited 3.3 million accounts from paying for purchases.
In 2023, Apple rejected 1.7 million apps for not meeting its privacy, security, and content standards. The company blocked 118 thousand accounts and rejected 91 thousand applications for registration of such accounts.
Apple noted that last year there was an increase in the number of applications that initially provided themselves with safe services, and after being published in the App Store, they turned into pirated online movie theaters or illegal gambling applications.
