New features powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI) are coming to Workspace appsThat includes Gmail, Docs, Drive, Slides and Sheets, as Google announced at its I/O 2024 conference on Tuesday (14). The additions are part of Gemini 1.5 Pro, the latest version of the language model.

If you receive a large amount of emails and find it difficult to read each one, now you can rely on it. Gmail’s “Summarize” function. Once enabled, it analyzes selected messages and displays a summary of key points found in conversations, helping you save time.

Responding to emails will also become easier with the “Contextual smart reply” that improves the existing tool. New version will bring suggestions for more detailed and differentiated responses based on the context of the messageCan be edited for better adaptation.

Already “Help me write” function is now available Portuguese and Spanish support in Gmail and Docs on desktop, with its new Gemini for Workspace solutions. It can be useful when the user is looking for suggestions on composing messages in the email service or text in the Google editor.
