The companies signed an agreement to release multiplatform games that have not yet been announced, without notifying the amount invested.

Founded in Porto Alegre (RS), Aquiris is known for its Wonderbox and Horizon Chase games. The first is an adventure game exclusive to the Apple Arcade subscription game store; the second draws inspiration from racing classics of the 1980s and 1990s such as Top Gear.

This is Epic Games’ first equity investment in a Brazilian studio. But it was already an investment through a scholarship program. In November 2021, the company announced a partnership with Pulsatrix Studios, which is expected to release games for next-gen consoles.
