Former Rusargo and McKinsey senior manager Evgeny Sluchevsky has been named the new CEO of Magnit. In this position he will replace Anna Meleshina, who will continue to work in the company as CEO and member of the board of directors. This was reported on the retail chain’s Telegram channel.

Magnit was led by a former senior manager at Rusagro and McKinsey.

Evgeny Sluchevsky has been working at Magnit since 2022. Before his appointment, he held the position of director of the company’s agricultural and industrial complex. In his new role, he will be responsible for the management of the entire Magnit group of companies.

Prior to joining Magnit, Sluchevsky oversaw the meat production business at Rusagro. He previously held the position of CEO of the food production and sales company Integra, and also worked at McKinsey & Company.
