This innovation was demonstrated on the eve of the annual Google I/O developer conference.

A video posted on Twitter shows how the new feature integrated into the Pixel smartphone analyzes a scene in a video.

The user asks the device the following question: “What do you think is happening here?” Artificial intelligence answers that preparations are underway for a large-scale event on stage, perhaps a conference or presentation.

The system also recognizes “I/O” symbols and associates them with a Google developer conference talking about new advances in artificial intelligence.

Although the details of the new feature have not yet been fully revealed, it is reminiscent of Google Lens’ camera-based search feature.

But the capabilities demonstrated, including interaction with voice commands and real-time operation, are a significant step forward.
