Despite claims that radiation levels are increasing, leading experts such as Vitaly Shub of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology say the concerns are based on a combination of real facts and false conclusions. Shub explains that the theoretical frequency range for 5G extends to 80 GHz, but practical applications primarily use frequencies in the 0.7-5.0 GHz range, minimizing potential health risks.
Moreover, the International Commission on Protection from Non-Ionizing Radiation has shown that the harm from such radiation is much lower than that of ordinary household items such as light bulbs. It is emphasized that short radio waves do not pose a serious threat to health, and the radiation emitted from smartphones is at a level comparable to the radiation emitted from televisions or radios.
While risks associated with smartphones remain, including problems with fast wireless chargers and home signal boosters, experts advocate conscious use rather than unfounded fear.
