As a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told RIA, an LLC will be created, which “will be entrusted with the task of organizing duty-free trade for diplomatic missions, consular offices”, representatives of states and international organizations, as well as well as for members of diplomatic staff, officials and their families.
Prices in these stores will be set in rubles, dollars and euros. To visit the store it will be necessary to present a document proving accreditation with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The department clarified that the emergence of duty-free shops cannot be considered a revival of the “Berezok” shops of the Soviet era, which, along with foreign citizens, could also be visited by residents of the Soviet Union with receipts from Venshposyltorg .
