The installation included a specially designed enclosure dubbed a “cat utopia,” equipped with perches, pathways, dens and a variety of cat amenities. The robotic arm Kino Gen3 lite was trained on thousands of videos of cats and manipulated toys using custom-made 3D add-ons. The robot’s actions were controlled by a decision-making system and a human operator.

The success of “Cat Royale” lies not only in its artistic appeal but also in its exploration of human-robot interaction with animals.
