In fact, there is nothing new in the unmanned evolution of the Black Hawk – many of Sikorsky’s partners with DARPA agents are already announcing the conversion of production models into drones. As a result, the C-70UAS U-Hawk was launched from the UH-60L Black Hawk available for this purpose at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) exhibition.

The new U-Hawk aircraft utilizes Matrix and Sikorsky technology in its 3rd generation fly-by-wire system, which is recommended for flying an aircraft such as a UAV. The Matrix completely eliminates the pilot’s functions and uses his landing position.
The main control of the U-Hawk is taken out of the operator’s control. a protected tablet that tells the helicopter only the main objectives of the mission, while the Matrix takes over everything else. In the future, the U-Hawk will be able to overload large trucks and autonomous transport vehicles. That’s why Sikorsky uses the T700-GE-701C engine with a lifting capacity of about 4,100 tons. kg.
